1ClickFactory and QBS Group Merge to Form Companial, an International Network of Microsoft Dynamics Partners

1ClickFactory and QBS Group merge to provide additional service offerings to customers as it becomes Companial, the largest and fastest-growing international network of Microsoft Dynamics Partners.

Leusden, The Netherlands, Vilinus, Lithuania, Feb. 2, 2022 –  1ClickFactory, based in Vilnius, Lithuania and QBS Group, headquartered in Leusden, the Netherlands, announced today, February 2nd, 2022, that the companies are merging to form a new company named Companial.

1ClickFacory and QBS Group are well known in the Microsoft Business Application area, providing services and licenses to Microsoft Dynamics Partners. When 1ClickFactory and QBS Group began its strategic partnership in 2017, it quickly became obvious that both companies’ offerings around technical services, enablement, license operation, support for Independent software vendors (ISV), marketing services and Dynamics Partner engagement were very complementary, all focused on Microsoft Dynamics and Power Platform. Companial comes to market with a clear vision to become the preferred community for every Dynamics professional.

1ClickFactory is a Microsoft ISV Development Center and Gold Certified in Enterprise Resource Planning, Application Development and Cloud Platform. As a global business, it delivers services to 300+ Dynamics Partners in 40+ countries. 1ClickFactory’s high-quality Microsoft Dynamics 365 upgrade, development, and training services, together with its leading Microsoft Azure managed hosting service, help Microsoft Partners offer better business value to customers, delivering solutions on-premises and/or in the cloud.

“I am very excited to join forces and offer a One-Stop-Shop for every Dynamics Professional with Companial. Our clear mission is to exceed expectations by putting our Microsoft Partners at the center of all our efforts, offering outstanding services, developing and supporting Dynamics Partners on their (cloud) journey, and empowering them in all aspects of their business. The central word in our vision is “community”. We do everything to make the community work and to inspire those in it.

Companial promises that it’s easy to do business with us, that we offer a high-quality portfolio of services supporting all Dynamics workloads, and that we provide our Dynamics Partners with appealing offers!

We are dedicated to the success of our Dynamics Partners, and above all we prioritize personal relationships and a personal touch for the good of our community,”
Louis Rustenhoven, Chief Executive Officer, Companial.

QBS Group is the largest Dynamics ecosystem, second only to Microsoft itself. Situated in over 25 countries worldwide, with over 800 Partners that manage more than 40,000 customers, QBS Group was one of the only Dynamics-focused indirect Cloud Solution Providers. With its expertise and personal contact, QBS Group has helped Dynamics Partners transition to the cloud and supported them in driving the digital transformation. Microsoft has recently recognized QBS Group with the Inner Circle Award for Microsoft Business Applications 2021/22, the 8th year in a row QBS Group has received this honor.

“Seeing Dynamics Partners in our ecosystem scale is the number one thing for growth. We recognize that our Microsoft Partners are the wakeboard, and we want Microsoft Partners to be as efficient, capable, and notable as possible. We have had such great experiences with QBS and 1ClickFactory in the past and we are confident that this combination is really going to enable Companial to bring on more customers, do a better job, have a higher level of customer satisfaction, and have a great relationship with Microsoft. A win-win-win situation for everyone!”
Mike Morton, General Manager Business Central, Microsoft.

While the launch of Companial will have no impact on existing relationships and contracts that Dynamics Partners have with 1ClickFactory or QBS Group, Dynamics Partners can expect additional services and offerings that will help them to either establish a Microsoft Dynamics practice or evolve an existing business to enable digital transformation and better satisfy customers. One example is the newly announced partnership with Plataan, one of the leading training providers for Microsoft Dynamics and Power Platform. This partnership will result in a full set of trainings and enablement tools that will be offered under the Companial brand to Dynamics Partners worldwide.

“I am happy to share my thoughts about the integration that is now happening between QBS and 1ClickFactory. We are excited and we think it’s a great move. Collectively, as a community, we have an enormous amount of work to do to take Dynamics customers forward to a bright Dynamics 365 cloud future. And only collectively do we have the resources to make that happen in any kind of sensitive timeframe. We are already enjoying working with your team to move our customers forward and we hope to do much more of that in the future and having a single throat to choke. We look forward to working with you”
Paul White, Chief Executive Officer at The NAV | 365 People

Strategic Partnership QBS Group and 1Clickfactory with Plataan

Plataan, based in Hasselt, Belgium and QBS Group, headquartered in Leusden, The Netherlands announced today that they will join forces moving forward. As of January 2022, QBS Group has acquired a shareholder majority of Plataan.

This transaction is an important step in the strategy of QBS Group to enhance the portfolio of partner growth services delivered to the worldwide Dynamics partner channel. It perfectly fits in the vision of the group to be the most preferred community and center of expertise for every Dynamics professional in the world.

In 2021 Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) SaaS growth figures showed that it is now imperative that Dynamics partners become proficient in the relevant Dynamics 365 Business Central competencies, skills and knowledge. The tremendous growth of Business Central SaaS is also reflected in the accelerated intake and number of certifications of new Business Central professionals in the “Business Central Booster” Training Program delivered by Plataan. This program is a virtual online program designed to learn through practical, hands-on exercises whilst being guided by an experienced certified trainer. Apart from the Booster programs for Dynamics Business Central, Plataan is offering training courses for Microsoft’s Power Platform, Office 365 and the Customer Engagement workloads.

With this important strategic announcement, QBS Group and Plataan move into a league of their own when it comes to training capabilities, capacity and coverage to serve the Dynamics partner channel:

We consider Plataan as a leading strategic training partner for our community of current and future Dynamics partners. The ambition of Plataan to build all-inclusive online competency programs for Dynamics partners perfectly fits with our unique set of technical services covering Business Central, F&O, PowerApps and Customer Engagement and our expertise in Traditional and CSP (Cloud) licensing. We’re all looking forward to a great collaboration with multiple benefits for our partner community!
Louis Rustenhoven, CEO QBS Group & 1ClickFactory

Both companies are true partner focused organisations. Both have a ‘Microsoft Dynamics only’ strategy. No other Value-Added Distributor in the worldwide Microsoft channel can claim this. Our (digital) training offerings and capabilities combined with the sales & marketing and deep technical skills of QBS Group & 1ClickFactory together plus their wide international distribution network create a great fit! The Dynamics partner community can expect from us more attractive training offerings, including offerings around the domain of D365 Finance & Supply Chain and Power Platform.
Vincent Bellefroid, Partner Plataan

Target audience: Sales & Marketing, Leadership

Power Platform is just that, a Platform. It’s difficult to go to market with a platform proposition to your customers so how can you start to make money from Power Platform and associated technologies?  If you would like to think about how you can go from Dynamics 365 or Business Central to broader Business Applications, you need to think outside of the product box and broadly consider what can be delivered.  Attend this session to learn about how you can begin to commercialise power platforms, what scenarios may fit the market, what has worked well for partners already and what you will need to consider to get ready to start a successful Power Platform practice.

QBS Group has been announced 8th time in a row by Microsoft for Inner Circle for Microsoft Business Applications 2021/22.

QBS Group has achieved the prestigious 2021/2022 Inner Circle status for Microsoft Business Applications for the 8th time in a row. Since starting up, QBS Group has received this outstanding honorable award every year. Inner Circle members have performed to a high standard of excellence by delivering valuable solutions that help organizations achieve increased success.

Membership in this elite group is based on sales achievements that rank QBS Group in the top echelon of Microsoft’s Business Applications global network of partners. Inner Circle members have performed to a high standard of excellence by delivering valuable solutions that help organizations achieve increased success. According to Microsoft the Business Applications Inner Circle partners represent the top 1% of the total Business Applications ecosystem.

“In a year of deep business transformation for every company and every industry on the planet, it is extremely rewarding to be able to recognize Microsoft Business Applications partners from every corner of the world that accelerated our joint customers’ digital transformation and drove unsurpassed customer success,” said Cecilia Flombaum, Microsoft Business Applications Ecosystem Lead. “Our Inner Circle members are chosen based on their business performance as well as capabilities as an organization, whether that’s creating IP, developing solutions, or having an industry leading focus on digital transformation. This gives us a unique position that I know Microsoft appreciates and our partners can benefit from.” Michael Hartmann, CEO of QBS Group

Cloud Printing Service for Dynamics 365 Business Central

Printing in cloud scenarios can be a bit challenging, especially if the number of prints is relatively high and/or the printer is not modern (born in the cloud). Examples are zebra printers using ZPL streams and printing a CMR (freight document) using matrix printers. These printers are often a bit older and can be quite expensive to replace.

Printing should not be blocking any cloud migration so in order to connect older devices to Business Central we decided to share this repository on GitHub.

What does Print Service do?

Business Central allows you to store files in Azure Blob Storage with a simple HTTP request. These files can contain information required for printing such as a ZPL string or a PDF file.

The tool on GitHub allows you to run a windows service on any machine that has a connection to your local printers. Most often this will be an Azure Virtual Machine connected to the local network, but in theory, it can also be an old box sitting in a corner of your office with an internet connection.

Periodically the windows service will connect to the Azure Blob Storage and check for new files. The contents of this file can be processed and sent to any printer using software that is supported using DotNET Framework.

In the example, a ZPL string is sent to a Zebra printer using an open socket connection.

Optionally you can use any publicly available libraries to send contents of PDF files to printers in your network.

An example tool can be pdfprint.exe from VeryPDF.com. This can be executed from the Windows command prompt. Another option is to add SpirePDF to the project from nuget.org.

QBS Group and MindsUnited Join Forces

In 2017 Quattro Business Solutions (QBS) the world’s largest Value Add SMB Distributor for Microsoft Dynamics announced a strategic partnership.  Due to the continued success of both companies, from September 2020, an agreement was made to enable QBS to become the majority shareholder, fully integrating MindsUnited into the QBS Group of companies.

This partnership combines the distribution capabilities and ERP expertise from QBS with leading Power Platform and CRM knowledge from MindsUnited.  Through 15+ years of experience in building and operating Microsoft practices of all sizes, MindsUnited can now bring the deep focus and knowledge that they have on the most innovative cloud business applications platform, Dynamics 365 and Power Apps, to all QBS partners.

“We believe that QBS have unprecedented levels of service available to the partner channel, combining tools for operational excellence, core technical services and outsourced development and delivery for all Microsoft business applications products.  For QBS partners, this means that the breadth of service and CSP licensing requirements that they have can be catered for from one single supplier” says Chris Parkes, Power Platform Channel Development Manager at QBS.

“Combining the strength of both companies allows QBS to help partners expand and grow beyond Business Central into business applications bringing the deep knowledge of traditional Microsoft CRM products and a core skill-set around Dynamics 365 and Power Platform to services provided.  QBS are now perfectly placed to help partners fully embrace the cloud-based future of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Applications platform in its entirety.”

With offerings such as the Cloud Partner Panel (CPP) and pre-built Power Apps solutions, QBS and MindsUnited have created a package that enables partners to manage implementations in a scalable way, monitor customers tenants at scale and get insights into usage and performance.  The CPP also supports pushing changes and updates to solution packages in an easy and secure way whilst providing a mechanism to protect the monetization of intellectual property (IP) that is deployed to customer tenants.

“We provide a pro-active way to manage all Dynamics 365 implementations and Power Apps in one place,” says Michel van den Brink, Dynamics 365 & Power Platform architect and owner of MindsUnited.  “The Cloud Partner Panel brings continual deployment and monitoring to Dynamics 365 and Power Apps together, in one central portal, so that partners can focus on their core business whilst minimising the need to deal with routine operations, administration and maintenance.  These tools are now readily available to partners through their membership with QBS.”

Sana Commerce and QBS group take their partnership to the next level with QBS Navigator

Sana Commerce and QBS group progress their 5-year partnership with the implementation of QBS Navigator, the company’s latest marketplace. As an e-commerce provider for integrated e-commerce solutions with Microsoft Dynamics, Sana Commerce is a perfect match for QBS Group, a long-time support company for Microsoft Dynamics partners worldwide.

QBS Group supports Microsoft’s Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) with marketplaces to promote and leverage their solutions. On November 12, Sana Commerce delivered their latest marketplace, QBS Navigator, a tool for resellers within the QBS community to find proper solutions for their specific business needs. Until QBS Navigator, there were no tools or platforms designed to help resellers easily find solutions based on customer needs.

“If partners want to have a hassle-free buying journey to search and find digital solutions for your customers then sign up for the QBS marketplace.”

Herman van Leeuwen, driving innovation at QBS Group

Exceeding partner expectations

QBS Navigator also now offers ISVs, like Sana Commerce, a place for Microsoft Dynamics resellers to transact licenses for their solutions. This was a bonus for Sana Commerce, as ERP resellers can now order their Sana licenses for Microsoft Dynamics 365 directly from Navigator. Partners also benefit from exposure to QBS Group’s vast network. “QBS Group offers us an expansive network. Sana Commerce is a scaleup, so we love the scalability of having partners we can reach out to, who have partners around the globe,” says Robert Verkade, Vice President of New Business Development at Sana Commerce.

“ISVs working with QBS Group have access to a partner eco-system of over 800 partners. We have people on the ground with the cultural understanding, we can filter the interest and have this continuous dialogue with our partners. We recommend partners, and this helps our partners out. Our partnership with Sana Commerce is all about selling and working together and we’ve been doing this successfully for over 5 years.”

Nelson Tavares da Silva, driving ISV success at QBS Group

We are then going to have a CONVERSATION about ways to address the blockers, but also use it as an opportunity to capture the NAV and BC partner community feedback to ensure that we can provide the right help to the channel!

Ursula Koller               Victoria Danek

As Microsoft Business Application Distributer, we mainly use Microsoft technology and therefore we decided in beginning 2020 to leave our old Microsoft CRM with 3rd party marketing add-ons behind and move on with the all including Dynamics 365 Marketing as one of the early adopters worldwide. This was a tough decision with a high impact on our core processes.

In this session, we will not only share our learnings from this transition project, but we will also share how we achieve our main marketing targets like avoiding data silos, providing relevant decision-making basis for everyone within QBS or to simplify you own Marketing procedures with Dynamics 365 Marketing.

MIGRATING TO DYNAMICS 365 BUSINESS CENTRAL  SAAS – TIPS FOR THIS ‘TOUGH JOURNEY’ BASED ON EXPERIENCES

Tuesday, November 3
14.30 – 15.15

William van Voorthuijsen

“Migrating to BC SaaS – Prioritization is king. When it comes to protecting your installed base it’s crucial that you have the ability to support customers in whatever direction they choose. The days when customers relied solely on their partners informing them of their options are long gone – and competition is banging away hard on the doors of your clients. Some customers are ripe for a migration here and now – either as rip-and-replace or a true migration. Others have complicated implementation scenarios that will take a while to untangle. But don’t be mistaken – these customers also at some point will need assistance to move to the next solution – so better you than the competition! But – you can’t migrate all customers at once – so how do you go about creating a plan for all customers in your installed base – so that this fits your business and your pace? Get guidance and toolkit.”

HOW TO ACTIVATE AND ACCELERATE YOUR IP BUSINESS; APPSOURCE, CO-SELL, REVENUE, DIY OR BUILD A CHANNEL

Tuesday, November 3
14.30 – 15.30

Nelson Tavares da Silva

Having IP, your first focus is on developing and delivering the best possible solution to your customers. Keeping up with the innovations of Microsoft and the associated life cycles is your main priority. The second focus is selling your products in a direct or indirect sales motion. Doing both in a timely, cost-effective and highly professional matter is a huge challenge for most companies.

Learn from our (1CF and QBS) ISV joint GoToMarket experiences. What is the commercial truth of working with Microsoft AppSource and how are they living up to the BC extension expectations? During this session, we will give you our insights, deliverables, experiences and open feedback of our IP GTM journey with ISV’s.”

POWERAPPS – THE PAINS AND GAINS

Thursday, November 5
13.00-13.45

Herman van Leeuwen

PowerApps are here to stay. Microsoft is continuously developing new capabilities within the Power Platform to enable the digital transformation of your customer. It enables end-users of varying skills sets to build apps efficiently with investments in modern experiences, reusable custom controls, and best practices. What are the consequences for your Business Central Value proposition? Herman explains how you can incorporate PowerApps successfully.”

insightsoftware builds further on Jet Global deal by partnering with QBS Group for an EMEA-wide collaboration

insightsoftware and QBS Group have signed an agreement for the distribution of cloud licensing via the QBS Marketplace. By doing so, both parties expect to grow and increase partner capacity via the largest ecosystem of Microsoft Business Central partners in the world.  QBS Group started their ISV partner program about one year ago, which enables insightsoftware to bring Jet Reports, Jet Analytics and Jet Budgets to market using the huge network of QBS Group resellers within EMEA. QBS Group takes care of the provisioning of the solution via their ISV marketplace (creating admin efficiency for all parties involved) and works closely with the insightsoftware teams to find new partners willing to expand their portfolio with insightsoftware’s reporting, analytics, and budgeting solutions.

QBS Group will also position and use the power of insightsoftware’s Jet solutions in the ‘NOW IS THE TIME” migration campaign and highlight the advantages of implementing a Data Warehouse solution during an ERP upgrade. Businesses that decide to implement a Data Warehouse during the ERP project will discover that doing so provides an opportunity to address all of their data quality issues.

“With QBS Group, we team up with a partner who understands the cloud SMB market and has a clear focus on the Microsoft Business Applications space. QBS Group is able to position and reach the right partners for our solutions in a quick and efficient way,” says George Brown, SVP of Partnerships at insightsoftware. “By adding insightsoftware’s portfolio of products to our fast-growing Marketplace, it will bring another great ISV solution for Microsoft Dynamics Business Central. This way our partners can cross and upsell to their customers and discuss around the assessment of data quality in case they want to convert,” says Nelson Tavares da Silva, VP Business Development, responsible for the ISV strategy and execution at QBS Group.

Closer Cooperation between QBS Group and 1Click Factory

As of September, Soren Fink Jensen, CEO of 1ClickFactory will join the Board of The IT Channel Company. This is a further strengthening of the already well-established collaboration between QBS Group and 1ClickFactory.

The cooperation between QBS and 1ClickFactory combines unique service offerings to the Dynamics partner channel. The joined goal is to support partners in their transformation to the Cloud and therefore enabling them to grow their Microsoft Dynamics business. This combination is unique within the Microsoft Dynamics Channel and offers invincible added value of Dynamics Expertise to make a difference in the market.

“I am very excited that Soren will join the TICC Board as he brings a lot of Dynamics experience, expertise and insights gained from his leadership at 1ClickFactory, Microsoft and Navision to the Board table”, says Louis Rustenhoven, CEO at The IT Channel Company.

Complete installed base migration to Microsoft 365 Business Central SaaS

This weekend Microsoft reseller Beta migrated their complete installed base from their hosted environment to Microsoft 365 Business Central SaaS. The end-customers of Beta are using a set of ISV solutions; Beta365, Continia Document Capture, Opplus365, and several modules of OneBizz. All their end-customers are now enjoying the benefits of the online business platform.

The migration was organized and managed by the specialists of QBS Group. Jasper van Geest, QBS Group; “Before we even could start, we had to align all the different ISV solutions, including Microsoft. Thanks to the close cooperation and clear orchestration, we could do a smooth migration from hosted NAV to Business Central SaaS”.

All the findings and sample runbook are adopted in the QBS Group ISV acceleration program, which helps ISVs and VARs migrate their solutions and end-customers to Business Central SaaS.

LS Retail and QBS sign agreement

Meet LS Express, the online POS for SMB retailers built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

LS Retail and QBS Group have signed an agreement for the distribution of the LS Express software solution, based on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Distribution will start with Denmark, Germany and the United Kingdom, but the plan is to expand to all the countries that QBS is actively serving (25 today).

LS Retail’s goal is to bring LS Express, an online POS solution for small and medium retailers, to a larger market using the vast network of resellers of QBS in Europe and the Middle East. This will be achieved through QBS Group’s ISV partner program, which was launched about one year ago.

UPDATE – QBS Group support through the COVID-19 outbreak

On this page, we will be collecting all the business-relevant information that can help, inspire and support us all through this crisis, as well as post best practices that may be helpful. You can always book us for a (virtual) cup of coffee – we’d love to have a talk and discuss how we can help!

Update from Michael Hartmann, CEO, QBS group

“As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve, I want to share with you QBS Group’s plans to ensure business continuity not just for QBS Group but also some practical advice from the QBS community to the QBS community. Our top priorities continue to be the health and well-being of our employees, ensuring uninterrupted service to our partners, and finally, doing our part in preventing further spread of the virus. QBS Group is consistently focused on business continuity and we are fully prepared to continue our operations during the COVID-19 outbreak.”

Update May 26, 2020:

Now that the world is gradually coming out of lock-down – we all seem to look left and right to find that nothing has really changed, while at the same time everything has. As a comment we heard “we’re not going back to work – we’re going forward to work” so rigthfully puts it. It may sound as a cliche – but now more than ever your customers will rely on you to advise them on best use of technology to help them move their business forward. Our VP of Business Development, Nelson Tavares da Silva, has written this blog piece reflecting on recent commentary track from Satya Nadella to the Q3 earnings report from Microsoft.
